Cindy Bella Difia, a Student of English Department Became the Representative of Asia Youth International Model United Nations 2018 in Thailand

Padang (27/11) - Cindy Bella Difia, a student of English Department of Andalas University became the representative of Asia Youth International Models United Nations (MUN) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Cindy is one of the students in English Department of Andalas University. She is an Acehnese. She studied in Andalas University and leaves her hometown, Aceh. She is in the fourth years of college. In her fourth years of college, she got a chance to become the representative from Andalas University especially from FIB to follow an international conference called Asia Youth International Models United Nations in Thailand at 1-10th of November 2018. This conference guides the college students in Asia, such as Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Qatar, and also India.
She uttered if this event was followed by many college students from various countries in Asia. The participants in this event then were divided into groups. Cindy was in Antigua and Berbuda so she was responsible for expressing her opinion about the country.

"Besides the hotel, we also got the meals for three times in a day. Until she felt sick of the meals because not only the main meals but they also had the coffee break for five times when they were debating. The committee gave us various snacks from Thailand and also Indonesia because the majority of the participants were from Indonesia," Cindy explained while laughing.
Most of the participants in this conference was from Indonesia. It was proven when the cultural performance began. Cindy said that Indonesia's performance was represented by some of Indonesian participant there by singing an Asian Games soundtrack by Via Vallen, "Meraih Bintang" while waving Indonesian flag.

Cindy's departure to Thailand received a lot of support from the lecturers, even the head of the department supported her. When she was asked for the reason why did she choose Thailand for her destination. She answered, "I choose Thailand for my destination it is because I have ever been there and I know a little more about the condition in that country. Moreover, I have already known about the transportation there so it can be easily for me to explore interesting places in Thailand.
She also appealed to her junior to try participating in activities like this because it can make us get more knowledge of leadership, how to speak in front of people bravely while improve our English skill and also learn about people's cultures then get the new friends. Lastly, she conveys, "Don't be afraid to try. Every time there is a will there is a way."
